Marketing Executive in Sambalpur & Dhenkanal, Odisha — What the Job Actually Looks Like

Marketing for a software company in Odisha is not the job you see described in online courses. There is no large brand budget and no agency doing the work for you. There is a product that genuinely helps businesses, two towns full of those businesses, and your judgement about how to connect the two.

What you will own

  • Social media for Keshav Solutions — what gets posted, and whether it says anything useful
  • WhatsApp campaigns to existing customers and warm enquiries
  • Local promotion across Sambalpur, Dhenkanal and nearby districts
  • Material the sales team carries — pamphlets, demo content, product one-pagers
  • Enquiries: how many arrive, and how many were worth the sales team’s time

A campaign, start to finish

Say the target this month is wine shop owners. You would work out what actually bothers them — barcode billing, excise stock registers, the hours lost to manual entry. You would write something in plain language that speaks to exactly that, not a feature list.

Then you decide where it goes: a WhatsApp broadcast to the right segment, posts aimed at local business groups, a pamphlet the field team can leave behind after a demo. Then, crucially, you find out what worked. A campaign that generated forty enquiries the sales team could not use is not a success, however good it looked.

Online and on the ground

The part that surprises people: a meaningful share of this job happens offline. Local markets, dealer associations, trade gatherings — that is where many of our customers actually are. If you only work through a screen, you will miss half the opportunity in a town like Dhenkanal.

Why marketing here is different

You are marketing a one-time purchase, not a subscription. That changes everything about the message. You are not nurturing someone toward a free trial; you are helping a cautious business owner feel confident about a single considered decision. Honesty performs better than urgency here — these are people who ask their neighbours before they buy.

You are also marketing something with a real track record: software built in Sambalpur since 2005, running in more than 500 businesses. You will not have to invent credibility.

What we look for

Someone who can write clearly, is comfortable both behind a laptop and out at a local market, and is curious enough to ask why a campaign worked rather than just reporting that it did. Design skills help but are not essential. Fluency in any one of English, Hindi, Odia, Telugu, Kannada or Tamil is enough — writing in the language your customers think in is a real advantage.

Salary is discussed on the call. Incentives are performance-based.

How to apply

Open at both our Sambalpur (Dalaipara) and Dhenkanal (Laxmi Bazar) offices, Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Apply on WhatsApp — 7653958154. Send your CV, and any campaign or content you are proud of, in the same chat.
